Gary is a managing partner of WestPeak Private Wealth, as well as our lead financial advisor. He brings over 35 years of business experience to our firm, including 25 years in the agri-business and business management fields, giving him knowledge and perspective regarding global economics and long-term growth investing. He began his career in financial planning in 2009 at Edward Jones, and has now been in the industry for more than a decade.
In 2012, Gary left Edward Jones to partner with another advisor who was nearing retirement, and began taking over that advisor’s book of business while building his own client base. By 2016, he was operating independently, providing financial planning and wealth management services to dozens of clients. Gary deeply values the relationships he builds with each client and the trust that they place in him. Those relationships are the driving force behind what he does each day.
A Montana native, Gary grew up on a farm in North Central Montana. He’s always loved the beauty of the Montana mountains and landscapes, and you’ll frequently find him involved in many outdoor activities: golfing, boating, fishing, and downhill skiing, to name a few. Gary’s been married to his wife, Penny, for 33 years and they have two children together—Caroline and Christian. They currently reside in Missoula, Montana.
Gary received his BS in Business Management from MSU-Northern and an MBA from the University of Montana. He has also received his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
